North Sea spectacle for Schaeffler and Audi in the Netherlands

Time:14 Jul,2016
On the race weekend at Zandvoort, another highlight on the DTM calendar is coming up. The circuit amidst the North Sea dunes is one of the most popular ones with the drivers due to its fast and challenging sections. Audi driver Mike Rockenfeller is looking forward to races nine and ten of the season too. Rocky is aiming to continue his good results in previous years there and finishing on the podium in his Schaeffler Audi RS 5 DTM. The 2013 DTM Champion has very special memories of the race track at Zandvoort. This is where, sporting the green-yellow Schaeffler livery, he secured an early title win three years ago. In 2011, Rockenfeller claimed his first ever DTM victory on the dune circuit. Schaeffler can look back on a long tradition in the Netherlands. In 1954, the Schaeffler brothers founded INA Naaldlager Mij. B.V. in Utrecht as the company’s first ever subsidiary. The headquarters of today’s Schaeffler Nederland B.V. is located in Barneveld some 90 kilometers away from Zandvoort.
