WindCutter Certification Process Underway

Time:06 Jan,2016
Sauer Energy Inc. ("SEI") (OTCQB: SENY), developer of the patented WindCharger® vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) and manufacturer of the WindCutter® VAWT, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with ATA Engineering, Inc. (ATA), based in San Diego, California, to conduct third-party analysis to evaluate its WindCutter™ VAWT for certification. ABOUT ATA Engineering, Inc. ATA Engineering, Inc (ATA) is an engineering consulting firm that provides innovative solutions through test- and analysis-driven design by focusing on the engineering needs of manufacturers in addressing their cost, quality, and time-to-market challenges for mechanical and aerospace systems. ATA staff are experts in the design, testing, and analysis of complex mechanical structures. They use testing and analysis coupled with computer-aided engineering and mechanical engineering software to solve challenging problems in a wide variety of industries. Their engineering services include structural design, structural dynamic response analysis, stress analysis, thermal design and analysis, modal test, operational and qualification testing, model correlation, durability analysis, computational fluid dynamics, and vibro-acoustics. For more information about ATA, please visit www.ata-e.com The certification plan is the first step in the process of safety and performance validation. ATA Engineering will conduct extensive analysis and correlation with Sauer test data to demonstrate compliance with applicable safety and engineering regulations using International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards as the global benchmark. ATA will correlate analysis with a comprehensive series of tests by Sauer, assisted by ATA, to validate the design, performance and specifications of the WindCutter. Without certification, customers don't know what they are getting and they have to trust that it's everything they've been told it is. Another great reason for certification is that it makes the turbine eligible for the rebates offered. The federal offering alone is 30% of the purchase price, including installation, unlimited. It comes in the form of a tax credit with a rollover, which means that, if you don't use it up in the first year, you can use it in subsequent years. Designed and built in accordance with IEC standards, SEI is highly confident that their WindCutter will pass the stringent compliance analysis and testing that is required. "The SEI team is pleased about selecting ATA as the support firm for the WindCutter. It is critical that our customers have a wind turbine that they can rely on, one that has been evaluated by a qualified third party. It will take a little more time, but it's worth it," stated Dieter Sauer, CEO and President of Sauer Energy, Inc. To meet the expectations of today's global market, it is imperative that customers know that we have done the due diligence every step of the way and that they be assured of the quality and engineering of the WindCutter. SEI has overcome many barriers and battled the laws of physics. As a result, customers can expect optimum performance and efficiencies to meet their needs. With today's announcement, SEI is setting a comprehensive regimen of quality control and performance testing for all of its future turbines that will be based upon the outcome from ATA. The ever-growing demand for renewable energy solutions, coupled with the rapidly evolving number of products on the market, has necessitated the wind industry standardization and certification need. ATA's capability to provide analysis per industrial standards with proven results will demonstrate SEI's commitment to provide to their customers the assurances and warranties as well as quality that they can depend on. This will allow various rebates from state to federal governments to be obtainable without question. More about the WindCutter: The WindCutter was designed using the Darrieus gyromill principle and it is our plan to set a standard of high efficiency. The WindCutter's five airfoil design blades create a power coefficient that is comparable to the large horizontal axis turbines. Its aerodynamic design provides a fast start-up at a low wind speed with high rotational speeds that produce a high tip-speed ratio and a dual manual brake system. When the testing is completed, this will be the first VAWT in its class to be certified. About Sauer Energy Inc. Sauer Energy Inc. is a technology developer and manufacturer focused on the emerging renewable energy market. SEI's first offering, the WindCutter, is based on the Darrieus principle and has five airfoil blades that use the principle of aerodynamic lift to rotate the shaft, and is pole mounted. SEI also plans to offer the patented helical WindRider model, a vertical axis wind turbine that employs the HelixWind® technology that it purchased in 2012. The higher performance design modifications are expected to deliver superior results. The WindRider is also pole-mounted, and can be used for applications that don't require roof mounting. SEI invented and also plans to offer the WindCharger® brand turbine for a better roof-mounted solution for residential and other small building usage. SEI's technology is remarkable as it requires so few parts. This means a lower manufacturing cost, more efficient operation, lower maintenance (fewer parts = less chance of malfunction), and greater power generation. This will provide SEI with a new direction for wind capture, making it easier to scale from residential, to powering a small community -- all the way up to large industrial facilities. The market opportunity for this new, self-contained, innovative technology is unlimited and growing rapidly. With several patents in place and many more pending, SEI looks forward to manufacturing and commercialization. It is also aggressively moving toward a financial return on its investments.
